(TEMECULA, CA) – A groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Friday, February 20 at 11:00 a.m. to celebrate the commencement of construction for the new American AgCredit office in Temecula. Located within the Westside Business Park at 42429 Winchester Road, this new location will provide agricultural financing for nurseries, citrus and avocado groves, poultry operations, wineries and vineyards, alfalfa farms, dairies and other specialty crops located in San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, and Orange counties. The new office will combine the Escondido and Riverside branch office staff and service a combined loan volume of $275 million.

American AgCredit chose the Temecula site due to its central location within Southern California and its active agricultural community. Escondido Branch Manager, Gregg Warren, will lead the newly combined team; and Dan Elder, Riverside Branch Manager, will oversee marketing efforts for the Southern California Region.

According to Warren, these improved efficiencies will allow the company to serve its customers even better. "Our commitment to servicing the local agricultural community means that we will be able to better understand and respond to the needs of our customers in this region," he said. "Considering the vitality of the area, American AgCredit will continue to make agricultural financing available for many years to come."

Architect Tony Mansour of the Mansour Architecture Corporation designed the new 8,630 square foot facility. The tilt‐up concrete building features 12 enclosed offices, four open area offices, a mail and production room, large boardroom, two conference rooms, a break area with a kitchen, a vault for secure document storage, and a patio reception area for special events. Lusardi Construction Company out of San Marcos, CA, will provide general contractor services. The planned completion date for the new office is September 2009.
